There's an article on this subject in "Radiologic Technology", which is
the Journal of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists,
Volume 67, No. 3, Jan/Feb 96 (issued 6 times a year) pages 217 to 221.
If you can't access the journal, the article is called:
"Cancer Risk in Relation to Radioactivity in Tobacco" and copies can be
obtained by writing to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists,
Publication Dept., 15000 Central Avenue S.E., Albuquerque, N.M., 87123-3919
The article was written by Gustave F. Kilthan, B.S., R.T.(N) M.R.T., and
includes a reference list of 53 other documents!
