Declared pregnant workers

Hi Radsafers!

Thank you to all of you who responded to my inquiry regarding declared 
pregnant workers.  It was very interesting to see the wide range of 
policies regarding this issue.  We decided not to do a waiver but to add 
the Reg. Guide 8.13 and later the revised version if it is approved, into 
our Radiation Safety Manual.  We provide training on this topic at the 
refresher training classes as well as new radiation worker classes.  They 
sign in at each of these classes, and we'll use this as an indication 
that they received training.  Workers who do declare are given as much 
information they are willing to listen to.  


Again, thanks for your input!  It's great to have a super resource such 
as this list available to this profession.
