Quality Assurance and Calibration for Wipe Test Counters:

What quality assurance testing and calibration should be done on a well
counter (Ludlum model 2200 ratemeter with scintillation probe)?  The
counter is used when surveying for removable contamination in a nuclear
medicine department.  Is just a daily constancy check sufficient, or is it
desirable to perform periodic efficiency checks, annual calibrations, etc.?
