RE: medical dosage

The National Radiation Protection Board (NRPB) of Great Britain did a
study a few years ago (1991) on CT doses. They published Monte Carlo
simulation data for 27 scanners, giving organ doses per slice from
these. (Available as NRPB Report SR-250, 1992). John LeHeron from the
National Radiation Laboratory (New Zealand) wrote a computer program
which compiles the doses per slice to give organ and (ICRP) effective
dose and effective dose equivalent per exam. This is the best thing I
know for doses from CT scanners, although the latest models are not
included.
