1. The medical staff usually do not spend enough time with the patient to get
measurable whole body external exposure, using monthly badging, even if
they're administering the dose.
2. The dose rate at 1 meter from the patient, immediately after ingestion of
the dose, is around 22 mR/h/100 mCi.
3. Occupational dose monitoring is certainly required for "medical
personnel". Note that for some persons this would include bioassays for
internal dose monitoring.
