Ahh, I disagree with this point. When I was in school, I just happened to
be taking Radiation Safety and Thermodynamics, the same semester. I
remember asking the prof's from both classes why I couldn't express
enthalpy (kJoules/kgram) in units of kiloGrays (kiloJoules/kgram). Of
course I was being smart-alecky, but there are many uses of specific energy
that have nothing to do with absorbed dose so using those units would
probably increase confusion.
