idle traffic

It is interesting to compare the amount of traffic on this list to another
list called the
radiochemistry list.  It is a much smaller list, but even after size is
accounted for, there
is far more traffic on this list by at least a factor of 4 to 5.  I wonder if
this indicates that
the radiochemists are working harder than the members of this list and
therefore have less time to write notes?   It seems to me that there are many
posts here that really don't add any useful information.
