Spurious LiF light emission - contaminants
I am interested in anyone's experiences with spurious light emissions
given off while heating LiF chips that have been environmentally
exposed to soaps. Specifically, finger rings worn by technicians and
washing their hands with surgical soaps, such as Cyolex (generic
soaps as well). I am familiar with light emissions given off due to
talcum powders etc, but not too familiar with the effects of exposure
to soapy film residue on the teflon coating.
Any information regarding your experiences would be appreciated.
