FIXED DURATION JOB OPENING
ONE YEAR FROM START DATE
37.5 HRS  per week, M-Fri.
General Purpose:
Perform neutron surveys, measurements and calculations to evaluate neutron 
shielding for new accelerator to insure compliance with regulations and 
safety standards.  Provide training and technical health physicist support.

Experience and training:
Accelerator safety experience required.  2 years neutron measurement and 
shielding evaluation experience.
Master's degree in health physics or related field, and two years 
accelerator experience or a combination of education and experience 
required.

Skills and abilities:

Thorough knowledge of the field of health physics and applicable 
regulations.
Knowledge of research equipment, procedures and protocols suitable to advise 
scientific personnel on appropriate equipment and safeguards for new 
experiments.  Developed training, oral and written communication skills. 
Supervisory skills.
