Re: children's books
Group,
Due to expressed concerns that the request to "share@hmco.com" could be a
"mail bomb" being perpetrated as a hoax, I'm sending the following message,
but note that another message said that he found no such message on the H-M
site.
I found the link at "H-M Interactive" under www.hmco.com, which is also
reached at "www.hminet.com". HMI has set up the page (nicely done), operated
in conjunction with ATT Worldnet Services and others. There are acres of
messages there, about 50,000 since Nov 14. They would like a "sharing"
message.
HOWEVER, I do not see a request/direction for sending a message to
"share@hmco.com". If others go to the site to leave a message, let the
web-less know if you find an email address.
Regards, Jim

Hi Brent & fellow readers of list,
I was also a little concerned that this was just some sick hoax, so I
visited the Houghton-Mifflin Publishing Co. web site to verify the
address, and to see if there was any further information on this very
charitable offer. You will find that this is indeed an authentic
request that originated from their www site. If anyone out there is
interested, you can check this out for yourselves before participating.
The site URL is:-
http://www.polarexpress.com/96screens/HTML/aboutsts.html
which can be navigated from their home page at:-
http://www.hmco.com/
I hope that this helps to make clear any confusion that could arise.
All the season's best,
Andrew Truman.
