LLW and BW treatment

Dear Radsafers,

My name is Rob Wagner and I am currently doing research at the University
of Iowa on Low Level Radioactive and Biohazardous waste treatment/disposal.
I would appreciate information on how your facility treats/disposes of this
waste.  I am also researching what consideration for an alternative method
would be explored to change the current treatment method used by your
institutions (such as cost, environmental issues, ease of use, etc.).  If
you could also inform me of the amount of short-life ( half-life of less
than 90 days) and long-life waste generated it would be helpful to use in
drawing conclusions from the data.  Thank you,
