The use of the SRD as a secondary dosimeter (6 month calibration) is
understood to include using the information to reconstruct exposures
when the primary dosimeter is lost. Our practice at the INEL is to
calibrate the SRD (or electronic secondary dosimeter) on a semi-annual
schedule and use it to reconstruct exposure assignments when necessary.
