Re: Neutron dosimetry using Panasonic UD802

Among others the Army uses Panasonic badges for neutron monitoring.

Just be aware that the badge basically just detects thermal neutrons so
that an appropriate correction factor is needed relative to whatever
spectrum is used for calibration and for the manner in which the badge is
worn. Also note that this factor can change significantly for different
usage environments. The uncertainties in the badge calibration factor is
usually not an issue since the personnel dose is usually a small fraction
of the gamma dose. But if this is the workers only source of exposure
this might not be the case, which would necessitate a more careful study
of the work environment.
