Accident Dose Standards - Reply

Looking in my handy EPA - 400 for a power
plant going to hell the numbers are:

Members of the public:

1. Less than 1 rem stay in place
2. 1 to 5 rem evacuate and shelter for
extenuating circumstances (middle of a
hurricane or old folks home etc)
3. Above 5 rem evacuate 
4. 25 rem or greater administer stable KI - state
approval necessary

Now for emergency workers:
1. 5 rem for any action
2. 10 rem to protect valuable property and
rotation of staff not possible
3. 25 rem to protect large populations
4. Greater than 25 suggested caped at 75 for
life saving duties.  Also should be informed
consent and voluntary.
