Radsafers, In my experience, being in the same room with a therapy dose
of radioiodine would certainly show up in someone's thyroid bioassay.  I
am very surprized that there were ANY "negative" thyroid bioassays.

I suspect that the thyroid bioassay was not very sensitive.
