For people using unsealed tracers I can strongly recommend Herman Knoche's
Radioisotopic Methods for Biological and Medical Research. It's published
by Oxford University Press (US imprint). Dr Knoche was at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln when the book was published in 1991.

As some other responders have mentioned, Jacob Shapiro's book is also an
excellent general guide
