Hi Donna,
The one book I would recommend that you make sure each investigator has a copy
of is:
Radiotracer Methodology in the Biological, Environmental, and Physical
Sciences, C.H. Wang, D.L. Willis, & W.D. Loveland, 1975, Prentice-Hall, Inc.
This is a good lab manual which covers all fundamental detection systems
including a particularly good chapters on LSC, counting ststistics and
experimental design. Although it's not primarily geared towards rad. safety,
if your investigators understand the fundamentals in this book, you'll be a
long way down the right path.
