And, this is why Oregon placed a referendum on their ballots to shut down
Trojan several times. The Oregon press already knew what they "needed" to
know. Afterall, some hippie insisted that he knew more than the industry
and insisted on making wild claims to the press- that they irresponsibly
published. PG&E repeatedly tried to teach the yahoos in the Oregon press
about the facts of nuclear power. You can lead a (in this case) jackass to
water but you can't make them drink - just like Bob said.
Fortunately, in spite of the efforts to shut down Trojan, the
self-proclaimed experts did not achieve this by popular vote.
