Positions Available



Greetings, 

Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation (AHERF) is accepting
resumes from interested candidates for the positions described below. 
These are new positions which should to become available in the very
near future (~weeks).  Interested candidates should send their resume to
me by e-mail, fax, or post.  If your resume is sent as an attached files
to e-mail, it must be in MS Word 6.0 or WordPerfect 5.1 format. 
Inquiries regarding these positions made to the listserver will be
ignored.

Position 1

Radiological Physicist

Masters in physics, medical physics, or  health physics, Ph.D. in
physics considered.  One - two years experience in a biomedical
environment as a Radiological or Health Physicist.  Eligible for
certification by ABR or ABMP.  

Overview of position:

Person will be responsible for a broad array of duties covering all
areas of medical Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Imaging.  Radiation
Safety responsibilities will be both medical human application and
biomedical laboratory and animal research activities.  Radiation
Safety responsibilities are reportable through the site Radiation
Safety Officer.  All other efforts including Diagnostic Imaging
Physics responsibilities are reportable directly to the Division
Director.  Duties may be assigned at any of the AHERF campuses or
facilities  in any combination at discretion of division director.  


Position 2

Senior Technologist

Bachelors degree in physics from an accredited undergraduate
college or completion of a 2 year Nuclear Medicine Technology or
Radiological Technology training course from an approved school (two
years of college preferred).  Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine
(CNMT) or Radiological Technology (ARRT) and  5 years experience.

Overview of position: 

Person will be responsible for assisting the radiological physicists
in a broad array of duties covering all areas of medical Radiation
Safety and Diagnostic Imaging.  Radiation safety responsibilities will
be both medical human application and biomedical laboratory and animal
research activities. Radiation Safety responsibilities are reportable
through the site Radiation Safety Officer.  Diagnostic Imaging Physics
responsibilities are reportable directly to the Division Director. 
Duties may be assigned at any of the AHERF campuses in any combination
at discretion of division director.
