Knowing how statistics are thrown around in both pro- and anti-nuclear
debate, I always question numbers used by each side. While I find it easy
to believe that many european women chose elective abortions as a reuslt of
Chernobyl, how would anyone know how many had this procedure as a result of
nuclear fear? Are records kept on "reason for procedure" or is this merely
someone's estimate?
