MANAGEMENT APPROVAL OF RWP'S

This is a question for power reactor health physicists: 
 
What level of approval does your plant require for "radiation work permits" 
(RWP's)?  Specifically, is the Nuclear Shift Supervisor required to approve 
RWP's for work in the plant?  If so, is there any regulatory requirement or 
guidance for this?
