Re: Rocketdyne Radiation Study

September 16, 1997

Although I have not seen the UCLA Rocketdyne report yet, I do have the
"Executive Summary". The absence of the words "statistically significant"
in the Executive Summary leads me to suspect that the observed selective
increases in cancer that they report to be associated with radiation
exposures were really not significant. There are no specific values or
confidence limits in the Executive Study.

If this proves to be true, this study will actually have shown that there
is no significant increase in cancer incidence among exposed workers.
