I hope the following testimony will be considered relevant in the
discussion.

Ten years ago, at the French - Swiss border, my wife and I were searched by
customs because a burglary with violence had just occured nearby (not a body
search, but very inpressive until I could demonstrate who really  was).
Given me the choice, in remenberance of this event, X-ray scanning is my
favourite.
