Does anyone have any info on the dose to target/non-target tissues during finely focussed gamma-ray procedures (Co-60, I think). The machines go under names like "gamma knife". These are used for treatment of intracranial tumors. I'd be interested in thyroid and lens doses. Current medical info I've seen claim "no damage" except to the tumor. JER Bell Labs
