Note that Clinton said 2010 (or actually "2008-2012",  and even that "2000
isn't possible without doing severe damage to the economy" (equivalent).

OTOH, there are real actions to support nuclear in the admin (more visible
like the Pena letter to the Senate that commits to program and budget a new
nuclear development commitment, and less, like the Council of Economic
Advisors and others). The move to open nuclear technology to China also
supports the larger message. This is one of those times that some public and
private correspondence might actually be helpful, especially coming from the
great success of the Cassini 'debate' :-)
