     For the particular waste stream that we have, you are dealing with
a 
     flammability characteristic.  Just because the filtering media came
in 
     contact with that material doesn't mean this is still a mixed
waste.  
     The filter can simply be "dried", where the small amounts of
volatile 
     flammable will evaporate off.  Once the filtering media does not
meet 
     the definition of flammable it is not a hazardous waste and will 
     therefore be accepted at Barnwell.
