RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER POSITION OPEN

Description: Radiation Safety Officer for IRMS Inc. IRMS is a small
international company in Grove City, Ohio (Suburb of Columbus) that
designs, manufactures, distributes, installs and services industrial
measurement and control systems utilizing radioactive sealed sources,
x-ray tubes, lasers, and other ionizing and non-ionizing radiation
sources. RSO is responsible for the companys radiation safety program and
will chair the radiation safety committee. Other duties include:
negotiation and administration of all related domestic and international
licenses and  company radiological policies and procedures; ensuring
compliance with all regulations, licenses and policies; receiving,
handling, testing, inventorying and shipping of radiation sources;
personnel dosimetry program; health physics support, consulting and
radiological training of employees and client personnel; and all
radiological record keeping and reporting. Applicant must have several
years experience in handling radioactive materials and a degree in
physical or biological science or engineering with specific training in
radiation health sciences. Excellent interpersonal  and verbal/written
communications skills are essential. Teaching experience is important.
