Greenpeace blocks German plutonium transport

Anti-nuclear activists chained themselves Monday to a ship in Bremerhaven
Harbor, Germany, carrying plutonium bound for a nuclear reprocessing center
in Scotland, the environmental organization Greenpeace said. The
demonstrators are trying to prevent the ship, the Arneb, from leaving with
130 pounds of plutonium. The seven Greenpeace activists chained themselves
to the vessel at 2:30 a.m. and were supported by three Greenpeace dinghies
that were also blocking the ship.
