Re: Children: rad exposure from Nuc Med patients

I recognize that many states have their own regulatory requirements,
that may differ from the generic limits outlined within 10CFR20.
However, based on 10CFR20, the only mention of minors is with respect
to occupational dose, which states that the dose to minors, 20.1207,
shall be 10% of the limits stated in 20.1201. Subpart D- Radiation
Dose Limits for Individual Members of the Public, does NOT single out
minors at all, and specifically limits the public dose from licensed
activities to 100 mrem year. I do not know how state regulations
handle this from non-NRC licensed facilities, or, from radiation
generating equipment.
