The point I was trying to make, but did not do so very 
well, is that we do not want to look like the tobacco 
industry did when they vigorously attacked the early 
smoking and lung cancer studies.  We could be perceived 
as trying to protect our turf, as did the tobacco folk.  
The analogy is painfully close.  We must not only be 
correct, but must give the appearance of being totally 
truthful and unbiased. This says mind our words very 
carefully.
