The Illinois regulations do not require that wrap-around aprons be used
during fluoroscopy - only that aprons are used. The best type to use is left
to the discretion of the registrant.
With regard to the use of film badges, the regulations specify that the
personnel monitoring device "shall be worn at the unshielded location of
the whole body likely to receive the highest exposure. When a protective
apron is worn, the location of the individual monitoring device is
typically at the neck (collar)." This certainly does not preclude the use
of an additional badge under the apron.
