Summary:

Experienced in environmental radiological assessment, radiation measurement
and instrumentation, internal and external dosimetry, data analysis, and
database management.  Led the radiological dose assessment efforts to
support the Department of Energy's (DOE) Civilian Radioactive Waste
Management System, Yucca Mountain Project.  Developed a new algorithm for
statistical analysis of environmental monitoring results for the DOE's
environmental restoration project at Fernald, Ohio.  Familiar with DOE, EPA
and NRC's regulations and guidelines on environmental radiological
protection, including the newly released MARSSIM.  Strong background in
advanced statistical analysis, dose assessment modeling, and computer
programming and applications.  A Certified Health Physicist (CHP) by the
American Board of Health Physics (ABHP) and a voting member of the Health
Physics Society, Standard Committee, Working Group for developing ANSI
standard for environmental pathway modeling.

A major international consortium is seeking one or more radiation
protection
professionals for an assignment in the former Soviet Union.  The successful
candidate must be willing to spend significant time on site (e.g., rotating

to 6 month assignment).  Rotating foreign assignments may followed up by
long
term opportunities in the US.  Candidates should have extensive experience
in
either decontamination and decommissioning or environmental restoration.
ABHP
certification or NRRPT registration preferred.  Russian language skills
useful, but not necessary.  Candidate must be willing to work as part of a
project team as the on-site lead for health physics issues.  A competitive
compensation package is offered.
