Po-218 half life

It was noted week or so ago that there were some discrepancies in the
reported half lives of Po-218. Mike Stabin located the following
reference:

"The half life of Po-218", Martz, Harris, and Langner, in Health Physics 57
(1):121-130, 1989.

Th authors provide a summary of the previously reported half lives as
well as the results of their own measurements. Their measured value
was 3.04 minutes.  The latter is not the currently accepted value but the
paper still makes interesting reading.
