While the 20 mSv= 2 rem annual limit is hardly a question of units, the same
consideration seems to apply:  Is the game worth the candle?

The ICRP and other such bodies face no requirement to show that the changes
they recommend would yield a net benefit, but Governments do have such
resopnsibilities.  So far as I can tell, there is no reason to believe that reducing the
occupational dose limit would do as much good as harm.  Of course, political
pressures may force  a change but it seems unlikely that the regulatory agencies
will initiate such action.
