INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HEALTH EFFECTS OF LOW DOSES OF IONIZING RADIATION:
 		RESEARCH DIRECTIONS INTO THE NEW MILLENNIUM

GOAL:	Review the current state of the knowledge on the effects of low
	doses and low dose rates of ionizing radiation, linear no threshold (LNT)
	controversy and its implications. ICRP recommendations and  regulatory
	dose limits . Identify priorities for research on the effects of low doses
	on ionizing radiation. 

THEMES:	The symposium will focus on the following areas:

	Cellular and Molecular Studies
	LNT Controversy, ALARA and Regulatory Limits
	Adaptive Responses (Hormesis) of Chemicals and Ionizing Radiation
