RE: Static eliminator in copy machines

Photocopiers use a corona discharge wire as a static eliminator. Improperly sealed photocopiers have a distinct smell of ozone.

Do photocopiers have static eliminators that contain radioactive material? I
read a statement which listed photocopier as a device that benefits from
radiation use. I have assumed that copiers may use some type of eletronic
static eliminator device but I've never look into it. I will appreciate to
know. Thanks. M. Jo
