As I personnaly answered Roger Broseus:

You are correct Roger (about high LSC efficiencies for Cr-51 in LSC) but I
was talking with our specific samples in mind (sorry I was not clear). In
the specific procedure , we generate samples that are quite opaque ! But I
guess by your post, you did answer the other question the original sender
had about self-absorption.
