What Is It?

RADSAFERs,

We have aquired four items that appear to be some type of radar or
microwave tube. I made an attempt to draw the item and posted it at the
following URL:

http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/3337/whatisit.html

Please respond as to what this item is. I have a general idea but need
more definitive information. Thanks.

For those who can't access the WEB Site. Here's a description of the item:

Whole assembled unit is approximately 15" long. Four screws hold "Radiation
Cap" in place. 3" diameter Radiation Cap (labeled as "RADIATION CAP
<RAYTHEON> DO NOT REMOVE" is threaded Aluminum which contains a 1/8" thick
lead liner. Area beneath Radiation Cap has crimped copper tube and what
appears to be a high voltage contact. The 12-pound unit appears to be made
mostly of copper (ceramic near high voltage connections). Central body of
unit has two threaded tubes (5/8" ID) welded in place. Center of bottom
ring has a 2 1/4" diameter flat ceramic plate. Copper tube extending from
vertical ring appears to be some type of cooling fixture.
