EPA RADQA program
Those of you who use the EPA's RADQA cross check program for environmental
samples know that the program is being terminated. (This program is a free
service to labs performing radioanalytical environmental samples for
various nuclides and sample matrices.) A while back, I posted a note
about this, and of the folks who responded, there were quite a few who said
in effect, "I wish I had known they had such a program, I would have
participated.". Recently, DOE - Bechtel Nevada site distributed a survey
to the users of the program with some basic questions regarding how usefull
the program was and whether/how much the participants would consider paying
for continuing the program. I contacted Nevada Site and requested
permission to querry RADSAFE about the issue. I thought it would be of
interest to those conducting the survey to find out what the "untapped
potential" for participation is as well as the thoughts of those who
already participate. They agreed. So, if you have any interest in this
area, you have a opportunity to make your opinion heard.
Unfortunately, I don't have an email address for you to respond to - just
