Radiation Safety Officer Job Opportunity



RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER

The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, one of the nation's leading 
centers for medical education and research is seeking a Radiation Safety 
Officer.

As a vital part of the Department of Environmental Health and 
Safety, you will operate and supervise the radiation protection program for 
our medical school and our research laboratories.  Assure compliance with 
all applicable federal, state and city regulatory requirements.  Conduct 
quarterly inspections, survey of laboratories and worker training, conduct 
all surveys and checks for ionizing and non-ionizing sources.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience 
supervising a radiation protection program in a medical/reserach 
institution or comparable experience plus a Master's degree in Radiation 
Protection or Occupational Health and certification in Health Physics is 
recommended.  Applicant must be acceptable to the NYC Bureau for Radiation 
Control as a Radiation Safety Officer.
