US wartime bomb defused near french nuclear power station

At least they didn't attempt to make some connection between the
bomb and the nuclear plant being capable of blowing up like a
bomb.

CHINON, France, July 29 (AFP) - A US World War II bomb
unearthed near the Chinon nuclear power station in western
France was blown up on Wednesday. The 200-kilogram bomb was
dug up Tuesday by a mechanical digger during work at the site,
belonging to the state-owned EDF electricity utility. Bomb disposal
experts exploded the one-metre-long (three-foot) bomb in the Loire
river.
