Pressure Buildup in PuBe Sources

 Dear Rad Safer,

     It was suggested that old PuBe sources should be returned to DOE for 
     reclamation and avoid loss of source integrity due to internal pressure    
     buildup.  (I think this issue came up a few years ago on RadSafe, not sure)
     
     What is the story of PuBe sources and pressure build up?
     Did any one has problems with PuBe sources due to pressure buildup?
     Pressure build up is expected to become a problem for old sources.  How    
    old?
     Does DOE still support the recovery program? 
     
     Any comment on this subject is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
