ASSISTANT RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER
This person performs managerial and technical radiation safety duties for the Radiation Safety Office at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). Specifically, this individual will act in the capacity of coordinator of all support to the MCG research community involving over 120 laboratories and 120 Principal Investigators. This person will supervise a team of technologists in providing this support. Other duties will include instruction in radiation safety theory and practice, special projects, release calculations, shielding analyses, incident investigations, protocol review, etc. Master's degree in Health Physics or related field is required or equivalent with extensive experience in radiation safety. Management experience highly desired. Salary is approximately $41,000/year or more, depending on experience, with a full range of benefits available.
