October 1998 Health Physic Journal TOC

Apologies to all... for the third and last attempt....

last try.. seems the word "Forward" to start a sentence throws Romulus
off... so it keeps cutting off the text...

The journal does have these TOC on-line, with abstracts. There is also a
totally electronic copy of the April HP Journal on line, comments are
welcome. And I have the TOCs for the last few years at:

Comments on Jobs: Yes, it appears the salaries are down [opinion from job
hunter and one who keeps track of such things]. I also think that States
and Universities have always not paid well. I have seen the latest
salary survey from ORISE, but don't have any old ones. Anyone have old
ones and done any comparisons? The good news is there does seem to be
jobs right now, which is an improvement over the last few years. Perhaps
the number of jobs will help bring the salaries back up, or at least
strengthen HP barganing power. The problem of having non-hps in hp jobs
is not a new one.

exposure to to an average of four 1 GeV/nucleon Fe ions, similar to those
encountered in deep space. The DNA repair enzyme, Ku-86, up-regulates and
relocates to the sites of damage; protein staining intensity is plotted
on the z axis, and each island of peaks is a single cell.See article by
