Radiation Safety Technologist I/II

This position provides radiation safety support for the research or clinical staff of the Medical College and contract/affiliated medical facilities.  Education and experience requirements are an Associate's degree in Radiation Protection or an equivalent degree in the physical or biological sciences combined with extensive experience in the field of radiation safety or an equivalent combination of training and experience with one year's experience as a Radiation Safety or Health Physics technologist on an agreement state or Nuclear Regulatory Commission license.  Certification by the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists is desirable.

Preference will be given to applicants who have knowledge of NRC, EPA and State regulations pertaining to radioactive material and radiation safety, who demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, computer literacy including use of word processing, database and spreadsheet programs, and who can work with limited supervision while recognizing situations for which professional judgement is required.
