Re(2): Nuclear Carrier Arrives In SD

Well, come to think of it I might have a suggestion for a low cost monitoring
system.

An antinuclear group showed up at Arkansas Nuclear One some years ago with
their "EXPERT", Dr. Benjamin Spock. They carried some "special" plants with
them that were supposed to react (wilt or something) in the presence of even
low levels of radiation (but apparently not background radiation.)

At any rate the concerned citizens might want to contact Dr. Spock to see what
type of plant that was. Of course, the price for contacting Dr. Spock might
be a little too steep to suit them...if I remember correctly he passed away.
(Quite a few years after the march and totally unrelated to it <g>.)

These remarks are strictly my own and should be read tongue in cheek with a
smile on your face. If you happen to be a sour puss back up and forget what
you read...

P.S. For the record - I believe that groups of orderly citizens have the right
to express themselves, even antinuc's. In fact during the protest I
recommended that the company mow an assembly area for them, put out
port-a-pots and water coolers to indicate their support of freedom of
speech. The company took care of the mowing and port-a-pots.
