Goiania

Dear RadSafers

Do you remember Goiania? A Cs-137 radiotherapy source was abandoned,
stolen, broken open, and eventually caused the deaths of 4 people.

Does anyone know what eventually happened to the original owners of the
source? I heard they were indicted for criminal negligence for abandoning
the source. Where they convicted and sentenced?
