Mr. / Mrs. Pearl
With all due respect I am not a victum of downsizing. I elected to
seperate from NU/CY. Secondly, NU incompetence at operating it's nuclear
plants is well documented. The term Chilling Effect was orginated at NU.
I want to close this discussion by letting you know that there is wall
to wall documentation that incompetence closed CY and MP Unit 1. Try the
following analogy: A hunter gets terribly drunk, so blindly drunk thet
he walks past a sign that says bear trap and steps into the trap. with
his arm fully clenched in the jaws of the trap (and still quite drunk)
he surmises that his only way out is to use his knife to cut off his
arm. Was this self preservation (economics) or incompetence? Please
examine what happened at NU what you will find is a company that turned
on it's employees. There is case after case of this. This culture lead
to the closing of Connecticut Yankee. Which I believe was a fine plant
with an outstanding staff.
If you want to examine what happened at Nu examine the cases of Paul
Blanch (Rosemont Transmiters) Don Delcore (MP Unit 2 Refueling) George
Galnis (SP?) and George Bettencourt. You might also want to examine the
dealings of John Opekia, Bernie Fox, Bob Busch, Fred Sears.
Perhaps I should correct what I said to CY was closed due to NU's
incompetence. In all cases if you do just a little research you can
rapidly discover the damage NU did to itself and the nuclear industry.
As I stated, I have been a student of these proceedings and consider
what has transpired a fascinating study. Best regards.
