POSITION TITLE:  Radiation Safety Technicians
Duties: In coordination with the overall efforts of the EH&S department,
Radiation Safety Technician will perform duties specific to the
Radiation Safety Program providing ionizing radiation safety services to
researchers using RAM. Responsibility includes the maintenance of proper
records to meet State & Federal regulations. Maintain monthly personnel
dosimetry service and perform monthly environmental dosimetry monitoring
to ensure exposures in public areas remain below regulatory limits.
Perform monthly contamination surveys. Calibrate survey instruments.
Perform other technical compliance duties as necessitated by regulation
and to provide a safe working environment for Center staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
An associate degree in physics, chemistry or closely related to
scientific field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the
position. Previous experience in a research facility or education
institute preferred.
