There's a pretty good discussion on this topic in the Health Physics Manual of
Good Practices for Uranium Facilities, EGG-2530, UC-41. Also, a book was
published in 1996 by Allen Brodsky entitled "A Review of Radiation Risks and
Uranium Toxicity with Application to Decisions Associated with Decommissioning
Clean-up Criteria" that might be helpful. The publisher was RSA Publications.
